Pasta. One of the fastest and easiest food to cook if you want something delicious and satisfying. That’s exactly why I decided to make this pasta dish. I have cooked this dish a hundred times and have quite perfected the recipe. By the way, I prefer to get fresh shrimp whenever I make this because they taste much better than the frozen ones. But, you can opt for frozen shrimp if you don’t have access to fresh ones. Today is your lucky day because I’m sharing my Garlic Shrimp Pasta recipe so without further ado, here’s what you’ll need to get:
Prep time: 10 minutes
Cooking time: 15 minutes
- 2 tbsps unsalted butter
- 2 tbsps olive oil
- 2-3 garlic cloves, minced (depends on how much garlic you want)
- 1 tsp chili flakes (you can add more if you want more heat)
- 135 grams cherry tomatoes, halved
- 10 pcs, medium shrimp (peeled and deveined)
- 75 grams dried spaghetti (I used Barilla brand)
- parsley, chopped (depends on how much parsley you want)
- half cup pasta water
- salt and pepper to taste
Here’s what you’ll need to do:
/cook pasta according to package directions. Cook the pasta 2 minutes less the suggested time so you can finish it off in the pan
/while water is boiling and pasta is cooking, on medium heat, put the pan and add butter followed shortly by olive oil. Butter burns fast that’s why you need to put olive oil to avoid the butter from burning and still retain its flavor
/put the garlic followed by chili flakes and let the garlic brown for a few seconds, making sure not to burn it
/add the cherry tomatoes, sauté for 3 minutes before adding the shrimp
/add pasta water and let the shrimp cook for 2 minutes per side
/season with salt and pepper
/add the spaghetti, mix the ingredients altogether, and finish cooking the pasta
/finish it off with parsley
/plate, take photos for social media content, and enjoy
A serving of this al dente spaghetti paired with garlicky succulent shrimps and buttered sweet tomatoes can totally make your day.
