8 Fresh Pasta Dishes To Get In Bistro Ravioli

Food places offering fresh pasta is not a regular scene in Manila. Pasta lovers can attest to this. That’s why we were all smiles when we learned that Bistro Ravioli makes fresh pasta all day, everyday.

The owners, being chefs and food lovers, devoted their time and resources in making sure that each dish delivers the freshness— when it comes to ingredients and taste, that’ll satisfy the consumers’s discerning palate.

We unashamedly tried out several of their fresh pasta dishes and came up with a short list that we’re recommending you get when you visit Bistro Ravioli.

1. Puttanesca with Sun-dried Tomato.

Even though it’s a simple dish with anchovies, sun-dried tomatoes, olives, and capers, there is something comforting about a freshly-made Puttanesca. The aroma alone seduces you and as soon as you bite on those al dente pasta, it’s feels like a loving hug telling you that everything’s going to be alright.

2. Molto Meatball Spaghetti.

When you want something classic, this is your perfect fix. It might be just one meatball but it’s enough to satisfy a hangry/hungry person.

3. Chili Shrimp Spaghetti.

When you see a tower of shrimps on your pasta, you know you’re about to have a lovely meal. And to find out that there’s fresh salsa and chilis added into your pomodoro sauce, that’s a confirmation you’re about to have a really lovely meal.

4. Seafood Spaghetti.

The moment we saw the plate- the clams, mussels, squids, and shrimps greeted us. Nothing beats the simplicity and vibrance of a pasta dish in olive oil and fresh tomatoes. The seafood lovers in us were beaming with happiness.

After tasting the spaghetti selections, we were excited to try what we originally came for— their ravioli. Since they have 4 different ravioli flavors, we decided to order them all.

5. Three-Cheese Ravioli.

We started with these pillows filled with mozzarella, cream cheese, and cheddar. It’s creamy, milky, and silky. The tangy pomodoro sauce contributed in the overall balance of flavors.

6. Spinach and Feta Cheese Ravioli in Pesto Sauce.

Another dish to add to your “Meatless Meals” list. Spinach and feta is always a delicious combo, in our opinion. The additional flavor from the pesto made the dish even more delicious.

7. Mushroom Mozzarella.

This is one dish that we could eat every single day! We savored the beautiful flavors of the mushroom and mozzarella inside those silky and al dente ravioli sautéed in olive oil and roasted tomatoes, and topped with fresh basil. It’s like a warm blanket on a cold night.

8. Italian Sausage Ravioli in Romesco Sauce.

Meat lovers will definitely love this dish. The ravioli were generously filled with the restaurant’s home-cured Italian Sausage. The earthy Romesco sauce that coated the ravioli was perfect. We wiped the plate clean!

After consuming 8 pasta dishes in one sitting, we miraculously still have room for coffee and dessert. We got their Cafe Latte and Cafe Mocha paired with Tiramisu. We’re glad to report that their coffee and dessert didn’t disappoint. Lovely flavors to end our lovely long lunch.
